ACT Flute Ensemble
The ACT Flute Ensemble was formed in 2009 to meet the demand for places for flute players in IMP system ensembles.
Flautist and IMP teacher, Jane Rayner, coordinates and leads the ensemble. It contains about 20 members from years 7-12 in ACT Public Schools. Students need to audition in the round with the auditions held in Week 6, Term 4 (November). Students in the flute ensemble may also be part of the Junior and Senior Concert Bands.
They perform specially arranged music for multiple flutes and have access to piccolo, alto flute and bass flute parts - all 3 instrument are owned by the IMP and for exclusive use with this ensemble.
They rehearse every Wednesday during the school term from 4.45 - 5.45 pm at the IMP rooms, Kaleen HS.

Australian Flute Festival - middle weekend October School Holidays - TBA
Bandstravaganza Ensemble Showcase - Monday November 18, 7.00pm

ACT Percussion Ensemble
Audition applications for 2013 have now closed.The ACT Percussion Ensemble was formed in 2012 to meet the demand for places for percussion players in IMP system ensembles.
Percussionist and IMP teacher, Jacinta Dunlop, coordinates and leads the ensemble. It contains about 10 members from years 7-9 in ACT Public Schools. Students need to audition in the round with the auditions held in Week 6, Term 4 (November). Students in the percussion ensemble may also be part of the Junior and Senior Concert Bands.
They perform specially arranged music for tuned and untuned percussion with students accessing a variety of instruments owned by the IMP.
They rehearse every Tuesday during the school term from 5.00 - 6.00 pm at the IMP rooms, Kaleen HS.
